When I was a little boy there was a man known as Sacrula. Fr. Nascimento
Mascarenhas tells us that his name was Sacrafamilia and that he was besotted
with a girl called Ursula, whom he never married, hence the combo name SacrUla.
He called himself the "Pope of all Goa". That was in the mid 1960s.
Delusions are nothing new to Goans even today. A group of people, that has
contested elections thrice .... with maximum five candidates at a time in the
first flush and could get no "bakra" on the next two occasions save its
President-turned-Secreatary...and received a maximum of 433 votes for a
candidate, still dreams of the day when the " party comes to power, bandhs will
be banned." Dream on. It is anytime better than facing the reality ... and
Realtors .... of Goa today.

Floriano Lobo makes a good activist. Sacrula made a good orator. Monster.com is
now available online; it was not available in Sacrula's time. Why, we had not
even heard of computers then, leave alone seen a picture of one! ;-)

My answer was " I am speaking for a political party. My party is against
bandhs since the routine of the people is disturbed. When my party comes to
power, bandhs will be banned."
