What will it take for our corrupt government to stop these monstrosities, which are against Goan interests? What is the local MLA doing to support the people of Nuvem? I hope that the spirited people of Nuvem succeed in their battle against the mega-projects; and draw inspiration from the many other successful anti-mega-project movements across Goa. The Goa Government of the builders and the land sharks needs to be sent a loud, strong and clear message that either they act for Goan interests or else the Goan people will! * ------------------------------ * * ------------------------------ * Ban the FFA Alberto Mascarenhas e Fernandes, Ponda The worthless Freedom Fighters' Association (FFA) should be banned as they have led us into the current mess we are in where we are on the verge of losing our identity. Unemployment is rampant and we are left with only their hollow promises as made in 1961 but now conveniently forgotten. The only 'freedoms' now in practice are rampant corruption, goondagiri, thefts and 'what is yours is mine', i.e., the decorated Bandodkarial barbaric mundkars and tenancy acts to displace Goans with non-Goans which seems to be working brilliantly. The proposed rally seems to be nothing but another gimmick to get more state benefits, reservations and pension for them and their extended family members. That is the only reason these pseudo-patriotic pro-merger bunch of chest-thumpers are fighting for another state's language to be made our own. Why don't they ask their fellow countrymen to ban English?
