It is a comforting thought for us Goans abroad to know that there are men like you to bring out such critical and laudable stories.... This story of the Kuthumbakkam Village Panchayat engineer/scientist Rangaswamy Elango, must be printed on a leaflet with apt cartooning and sent to all the Goa Panchayats." 'Pandu Lampiao' <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> comments on the same issue: "Great article from Naz Da Silva and truly look forward to the Goanet daily digest. Congrats. Think the article just pointed out the difference between two public figures with pretty much the same educational background and different vision: one a do-gooder and the other a religious bigot whose aim was communal divide. Carmo D'Cruz, it was not slamming IITians but illustrated a lack of vision or a narrow vision of Parrikar! For all we care, Goa may have been better off had he gone abroad!! Pandu, a non-Catholic Goan." --------------------------------------------------------------------- FILMS IN GOA, WRITING ON GOA --------------------------------------------------------------------- MOVING IMAGES FILM CLUB has staged, on August 5 (Thursday), the film Dr Strangelove (UK, 1964, Director Stanley Kubrick, 95 minutes) at the International Centre Goa, Dona Paula. Arguably the greatest black comedy ever made, Stanley Kubrick's cold- war classic is the ultimate satire of the nuclear age. Dr. Strangelove is a perfect spoof of political and military insanity...
