Subject: Suzuki violin classes for children aged 2 1/2 years onwards
You may have heard of the Suzuki method which has been very successful
worldwide in introducing children as young as two to an instrument.
The Suzuki Method is based on the principle that all children possess
ability and that this ability can be developed and enhanced through a
nurturing environment.
In Goa, Winston Collaco is the only Suzuki-accredited teacher. Winston
is the teacher for the children in our music project at Hamara School
(www.childsplayindia.org) and he also teaches privately in Margao.His
youngest pupil is two and a half years old.
We are delighted to be introducing Suzuki Violin classes for young
children in the Panjim area. If this sounds of interest to you and
your child, please come for a meeting with Winston on Saturday, 19
November at 5 pm, at our house (Casa da Moeda, Near Head Post Office,
Panjim). At the meeting, Winston will explain what the Suzuki method
is all about, have a demo with the kids and you will have a chance to
see and discuss things with him before you commit for lessons. This is
just an exploratory session and there are no charges involved.
Classes will begin in December and will go ahead even if one or two
children are interested.
