Khand -- a novelette in Konkani (by Willy Goes, from Goa) An audio-book read by the author, artist-musician-writer Willy Goes. This novelette is a story set amidst the contemporary Goan clash of changing values, visions and views. The traditional and the "modern". Located in a Catholic setting in village Goa, it focuses on issues of faith and a lack of it. The book is narrated by the author himself, in a simple but expressive language. This labour of love for the author can also be useful as a language-practice and language (intermediate-level) learning tool. It uses a vocabulary close to the spoken tongue that Romi-script users are familiar with.
First published (in printed form) in 2006. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Wilfred Goes, or Willy as he is fondly called, is a lecturer with the Goa College of Arts.
