GOACOM NEWS CLIPPINGS 04 June 2002 PARRIKAR PROMISES STABLE GOVT: The Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Parrikar expressed the hope that his government would last its full term as it was much more stable than his previous government and came out with the assurance to give top priority to development of the State, especially in the infrastructure sector. He justified the 13-member cabinet by saying that in a coalition one had to share power and that since MGP-UGDP, who are extending support to his party were smaller parties, he had to include all their members. He said that he could have adhered to the eight-member cabinet had he received absolute majority. (NT)
