Goa Day 2002 - The Grand Goan Celebrations at
IAC-Kuwait / 18th Oct. 2002

It's on Friday, 18th October 2002 at the Indian Arts
Cirle - Funaitees, Kuwait, Goans in large numbers will
celebrate Goa Day 2002 for the seventh time.   The
traditional event depicting "Goenkarancho Ekvott"
since 1995 has been an interesting and eagerly awaited
event of the calendar year to all Goans and their
friends in Kuwait.  The concept of 'Goa Day' has now
spread far and wide, and Goan Welfare Society-Kuwait
are proud that the original idea behind celebrating a
day once a year has now spread worldwide.

This year, Goan Welfare Society-Kuwait will join hands
with Goan clubs and organizations as in the past for
Goa Day 2002, including:
Goan Overseas Association,
United Friends Club,
Curtorcares United,
Chinchinim Villagers Association,
Assolna-Velim-Cuncolim Sports & Cultural Association,
United Club of Utorda,
Colva United Centre,
and the Goan community
to dedicate themselves to friendship, unity and love
of Goa.

The organizers keep their ethnic culture alive and
kicking despite being distanced from their beloved
motherland - the tourist destination of many - Goa.

Shri Swashpawan Singh, Ambassador of India, has kindly
consented to be the chief guest.

The ethnic throb echoes vibrantly in the cultural
outpourings as can be seen at Goa Day events in
Kuwait.

Enjoy a pleasant full day programme from 9:30 a.m. to
6:30 p.m. at the Games Stalls, Goan Food Stalls,  and
