CBI launches new look website >From Indo-Asian News Service New Delhi, Feb 1 (IANS) India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Saturday launched its new-look interactive website that allows people to register complaints and pass on information online. The federal investigating agency's director, P.C. Sharma, launched the site - http://cbi.nic.in - at a special function at the CBI Academy in Ghaziabad town, neighbouring Delhi. "The CBI website will now have more information and will be more interactive," Sharma said. "The site will be made more attractive and people-friendly." The website contains information on Interpol, red corner notices, fraud alerts, Central Forensic Science Laboratory, CBI Academy and important judicial rulings. The site will also enable people to pass on information regarding various crimes and criminals. CBI officials assured that the identity of the informer would be kept confidential. --Indo-Asian News Service
