Escapade
No, Its not a part of the Goa Day celebration officially , but a two-night
FREE extravaganza that's set to invade every available outdoor space
around the Royal Fesival Hall here in London .The theme being
* Filtering London through the Indian ( including Goans ) eyes. *
Escapade has a creative team that runs to two movements directors ,
six choregraphers , a film director , top Bollywood composer Sandeep
Chowta and some 150 performers.
An outdoor performance, inspired by London 's vibrancy . with dance ,
film , visuals , club culture and skateboarding. Its a 360-degree
experience and akelidoscope of sight and sound
As audience members roam freely in and out of the action , they'll be
surrounded on all sides by a mix of live dance , film images and exotic
music , all designed to transform South Bank concrete into a South
Asian-flavoured phantasmagoria.
A show that s not to be missed. It all promises to be , well , spectular !
And for those Goans who may wish to sharpen their moves , a range
of Bollywood style workshops will be on offer throughout the day
on RFH Ballroom floor.
For those Line dancing Goans , there is the opportunity to experiment
on line dancing *remixed* through Indian sensibility - could be a reciepe
of mass confussion ! There is no single way to watch this piece; the idea
is that you make your OWN choice
