(NT) EXPOSITION OF ST FRANCIS' RELICS NEXT YEAR: The 16th solemn exposition of the sacred relics of St Francis Xavier will be held from November 21, 2004, and end on January 2, 2005, at Old Goa. A decree announcing the holding of the solemn exposition has been issued by the Archbishop of Goa and Daman, Mgr Raul Gonsalves. The first solemn exposition was held from February 10 to 12, 1782. Ms Parsenkar was killed by an unknown assailant, who entered her house by removing the kitchen roof tiles and struck with a heavy hammer on her forehead. (NT) GOLD CHAIN STOLEN: A gold chain belonging to one Felix Vaz of Corlim was stolen by some unidentified person on Friday night. The Value of the chain is estimated at Rs.57,000. Vaz stated that the theft occurred when the thief managed to steal the bag using a stick and pulled it our from an open window when the inmates were fast asleep.
