The last match played between UG STRIKERS & CURTORCARES. The writer did give good briefing concerning the match, but I still feel that something needs to be added to this match review to give some extra boost to the new talent of today. The player to watch and enjoy was none other than youngster Ashton Fernandes of UG who played an excellent game, his every move was a thriller to the naked eyes of the spectators. The first goal that he scored had professional touch in it and such a goal I have never seen before at Sour Grounds and this was further confirmed by some of the seniors who saw Ashton scoring that magnificent goal which he shot exactly from the center line. After the third goal UG restarted the match at the center from where Ashton saw Curtorcares keeper coming out of the goal area and within a split of a moment Ashton took an aim at the ball with such accuracy from the center line that the opponents goal keeper was totally caught unaware. Not only was the goalkeeper surprised to see the ball landing inside the empty goal but realized that he was totally fooled. The Second goal was also a thriller but the first one was fabulous. This young lad I believe is a tenderfoot to Kuwait, his ball control, speed, stamina, dribbling and accuracy were really exquisite. At Sour Grounds for the moment he is one of the best Goan players. Did he previously play in any professional league in Goa? Can anyone provide me with more information on this young lad? I need his contact point. Thanks. Best wishes.
