Congratulations to Fr. Nascimento Mascarenhas for unearthing the excellent and informative documents about the construction of his native village church of Saligao -- M�e de Deus. Unfortunately there is nothing in those documents about the the choice of its unique architectural style. Does it have any influence imported from Burma? It is known that quite a few people from Salig�o were in Burma. Did any of them contribute substantially towards the building fund and with that some ideas for the architectural plan? Teotonio
