RESPONSE: Way too harsh I believe. I haven't heard our
Goan M.P. in the U.K.
speak Konkani, for that matter the Present President
of the Goan Association
(U.K.) would hard presssed to say a few words in
Konkani.

This does not make them un-Goans.

Cheers,

Gabe Menezes.

Reponse:

Firstly, a reference is made to a entirely different
context above.
Secondly, I am sure they know at least one line of
konkani song/s

e.g. Dol mojea bai..., Undhir mojea mama...etc etc
and that was all expected from the Goemkar at the get
together (ref. Alfred Rose song). Who knows? like
many other Goemkars here, he too must felt ashamed to
speak or sing in konkani.
