George, what I wrote, and you rightly quoted, has been done by "Goans to
help other Goans" and it has worked very well. Perhaps you missed the
posting of the St. Xavier's feast by the New York City Goans and the
speech by their chief guest Ralph D'Souza. The speech by the chief Guest
was also posted on the GoaNet and it was an excellent speech. Pity you
may have missed it. 
Goans complain that most of our get-together are tamashas and when
suggestions and example are given, they are ? overlooked. Happy New
Year.

Rather than posting speeches, better to post what Goans do to help other
Goans.  This way we can have some successful ideas which other diasporic
[sic] Goans can implement.
