Goanet next meets in Goa: January 7, 4 pm (meeting point: Kala Academy canteen).
Goanet founder Herman Carneiro will be there. See you there!
------------------------------

Alfred (Tavares),
Notwithstanding what you said earlier, but generously accepted as perhaps
unintended, about a little knowledge being dangerous etc etc... I want to
say you were spot on re my connections.

Two days ago, I will have been in the UK, forty-two years, via Kenya, and
when here, I simply consider myself a London Brit, like millions of others.
In turn, I have strongly abhorred the Goan propensity for village identity
and parochialism. This is an intellectually determined position, but a two
generational absence from Goa may have contributed to this score.

Ethnically, and when asked, I am entirely comfortable as an Indian of Goan
origin rather than the conventional Goan, who tends to be Indian second, if
at all!

Hopefully, as clearly intended, the above will unleash at least some gentle
provocation, on goanet!
Yours,
Cornel
PS Do tell me how you ended up in Sweden please and how Per, aka Pacheco,
may be doing.
