Dear Mr. Araujo,

From: vivek araujo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

1.Normally we tend to always think that Goans are not
serious in their profession or studies, very well said
a goan has to be dedicated , cost is very high , books
like Agarwal , an awareness is very important , either
someone likes to do things because he/she is
interested or because he/she is interested they like
to do it. Everything is intense in today's competitive
world, and given a chance you will soon see goans in
these IAS/IFS/IPS fields.

I have never come across any instance where I have heard that Goans are not serious in their profession! Also, no amount of training will ensure an entry into the IAS cadres. I have come across at least one unsuccessful IAS candidate, who is very well educated with a Bachelors in Engineering, Masters in Engineering + Masters in Computer Science! Knowing his intelligence and ethics, I can imagine how tough the entrance exams are.

It is not as if that Goans are not interested in these fields, firstly open up this subject by defining it to ............<>>>>>>>>>>>>> positive reply, after all a goan in IAS/IFS/IPS or allied services will be in the interest of Goa /Goans and the people at Large.

If one is in the IAS/IPS cadre, he can be placed anywhere in the country, not necessarily in Goa. IFS has to be either in the Foreign Ministry or in some foreign mission.

Mr. Bhatcar, i am like any other goan free to express that Goans are indeed a special breed, but i have not made any comparisions nor distinctions, every community is free to think it the way they want it neither you nor i nor anyone for that matter can stop my right of freedom of expression.

Mr. Bhatcar , you got it wrong I have not mentioned
about superiority , its like forcing your words in my
mouth , you have your likes and dislikes and it is not
compulsory that we should be on the same wavelength.

You are absolutely free to express your views in any shape or form.
Your two paragraphs above are sefl-contradictory. You say
that you are "free to express that Goans are indeed a special breed".
Then you go on to say that I am "forcing your words in my mouth"!
You explicitly say that Goans are a special breed!

I have absolutely no desire to put any words in your mouth! I have
said that Goans have no reason to feel Superior to rest of Indians in
any way.

Indeed there are places that treat indians as
.........>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<
when there are so many locals who are jobless ?

There is discrimination worldwide. If we can discriminate against our fellow Indians for jobs in Goa, why should a foreign country accept us? Take the case of the US. There are millions of jobless Americans at this time. Should they send all the foreigners packing, so that they could provide jobs to ethnic Americans?

One of the prime reasons for people from outside Goa getting
employment in Goa, is corruption. Stop those corrupt Goans from
accepting bribes in giving jobs to non-Goans, and half the unemployment
troubles in Goa will be over. We always think that "bhailey"-outsiders
are corrupt. Not so true! You will be amazed to see how corrupt Goans
are!

Vivek
