DeSousa: A Dedication On 18 March 2004 Goan Voice UK evolved from a weekly newsletter to a 24 hour daily service and website which will gradually grow. Your continued support has demonstrated the need for such a step. The Goan Voice was a weekly East African newspaper founded by Dr A.C.L. DeSousa who died on 18 July 1958. Bonifacio Colaco wrote at the time: "throughout East Africa the 'Goan Voice' is a household word and it should be our earnest desire to keep evergreen the memory of its founder and to serve the Goan cause to the greater glory of Goa and Goans." Some issues of The Goan Voice are available at the British Newspaper Library, Colindale, London and at the Library of Congress, Washington. This site is dedicated to the late Dr A.C.L.
