This is the message we got from Malvina Athaide's (nee Cordeiro) family. We pass it on, unedited... In solidarity with all her family and friends who had the privilege to be enriched by her spirit. She left us very peacefully, ending her long struggle, and going to a place where she will still watch over us. Thank you all for your prayers, caring and love. Dearly missed by her loving husband Dileep, and darling children Jacinta, Lucas, and Olivia; mother Florrie (late father Venancio) and sisters Maura (Francisco), Merlyn (Oswaldo), Mavis (Pralad), May and Milena (Leslie); and numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to her active home and family life, Malvina worked as a Casual R.N. most recently at Vancouver General and G.F.Strong. She will be particularly remembered for the love and compassion she shared with all who knew her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 29, at Sacred Heart Church, Ladner, followed by Internment at Gardens of Gethsemani, Surrey.
