The Instituto Indo Portugues, formerly known as "Goan Emigrants Fund Committee", was set up in 1930 with the object of rendering help and protection in time of need to Indo-Portuguese emigrants outside of Portuguese India. It is open to all Indo-Portuguese emigrants irrespective of community and religion and imparts FREE education to all. It plays a very important part in the educational activities of Indo-Portuguese emigrants outside of Goa. The Institute in Bombay runs various classes such as Electricity Classes ... Ladies Tailoring Classes, and Commercial Classes.
