Had travelled by AI in 1982 and vowed never to repeat the experience again. Treatment was awful (has skin-colour got anything to do with it?), only improving marginally when I requested for a complaint-form. Then a couple of years ago, friends of mine came to Melbourne from Goa travelling with AI. Way back, SARS caused all sorts of issues with these friends, as they were going back via HongKong (their stopover to go to Macao was cancelled due to the SARS scare), and the itinerary changed long before they left Melbourne. However, a strike on part of AI staff at HongKong and later a high-level decision mid-air diverted the flight to New Delhi instead of Mumbai/Goa, and passengers were expected to make their own way back to Goa at their own cost. A lot of complaining at New Delhi finally managed to get them a couple of seats on IA to Goa. This is the sort of treatment meted out to Passengers of Indian Origin travelling by AI. Until there is a marked change in the AI's concept of a "passenger", I doubt if I will ever travel AI. Gabriel. Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. http://au.movies.yahoo.com
