Dear Goanetter, 'I guess that just means charters don't land in other airports, or hardly ever do. At least not in the numbers that the British (mainly) fly in holidayers in their version of modern mass tourism. But it is strange that Goa get's 92% of international charters to India but none (that we know of) of the international scheduled flights. Seems like some nasty conspiracy to let the charters in but keep the airlines out'.
Charters land on an Indian Airforce Base. Special permission granted by them, and still the people are shoved around like sardines, imagine other airlines landing there as well. Goans cannot handle a 'pissup-in-a-brewery', they go to sleep lunchtime and don't get up till 5 in the evening. VIVA GOA. Goa Govt. workers don't go to work till 10.30 or 11.00 in the morning. And, if someone does go early, they take it in turns. Afra Dias. (London)
