Cecil: Hi Natacha. Welcome to GoaNet. I live in Miramar and work in Panjim, Goa. But I'm originally from a village in Bardez. But Fred Noronha, who is an Administrator on this list, says if I mention my village and my surname I am trying to reveal my caste. Since I am a non-practicing Catholic I find this most amusing. I have teamed up with Mario Alvares who has a genealogy website (www.goan.name). We are adding a subsection where you just enter your surname and your original village and your caste is revealed. We have a subsection for about-to-be-married people where for a fee we will change your caste. We Goans will play football, work and fornicate with people of all castes but only at the time of marriage does caste become all-important. Do you have a caste? Are there castes in Portugal? ------ Natacha: In the 2003 i was in goa and it was the most beautifull place that i ever seen. Cecil: Nothing much has changed in two years - except for Governors and Chief Ministers. It still is the most beautiful place in the world. But then I'm hardly qualified to comment as I've not been anywhere outside of India. And I spend most of my life in Bardez and Tiswadi. Is there a difference between people from North Portugal and South Portugal like we have here between North And South Goans? Do you know I can become a Portuguese Citizen if I want to - but I don't want to. ----- Natacha: I felt at home and since then i wish to go linving in goa, i was saving money and i have already my plane ticket without date. Cecil: This is a very tricky issue. Please contact Eddie Fernandes and Gabe Menezes regarding a date on your ticket. Tourist Visas don't allow you to stay for more than four weeks. Besides as a foreign national you will be charged double of what Indians are charged in India. And if you're planning to live in South Goa you can't even hire a motorcycle pilot without the Tourist Taxi Drivers threatening to bash you up. Do you have tour operators who cheat in Portugal? Do you have motorcycle pilots in Portugal? Do the Portuguese regret bringing the Caju plant (hence Feni) to Goa instead of taking it to Portugal and enjoying the Nectar of Life themselves? ------ Natacha í'm trying to find a job or a project where i can feet because i want to do more then just staying, i really want to make a life there. Cecil: Well there's Big Foot in Loutolim. And of course all the major footwear brands - Nike, Bata, Adidas, Liberty... have official distributors here in Goa. I'm not sure if they're recruiting but I can ask around. Why this obsession with feet though? ------ Natacha: i'm a journalist in portugal but when i was in india i was doing social work at CYDA in Pune. if someone has something for me please let me know. iu are so lucky to be from a so beautifull spot as goa is. Cecil: If you send me more details about yourself and your preferences I would be glad to help you find a position here. Please post it directly here on GoaNet so that others too an help you in your search. ----- Natacha: regards and kisses. Natacha Romao [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cecil: Namaste and cheers!
