Mario,
I don't need any advice from you on anything; U twist and turn things around. That seems to be your attitude to life. U r the one who was saying that 'India is so and so and so and what not. Not me; what I was saying and am saying is that Goa and India would and can be much better place then it is now. And that is the direction in which all India's efforts should be concentrated; and not on promoting dogma and medieval culture.

I enjoyed myself very well; whilst in Goa; not in other parts of India though; when I travelled from Jaipur to Delhi, I was still smelling of 'Camel and Cow Dung'! I had to go for a real clean up of self and clothes as well. No wonder, since the BJP is in power there. Shape of things to come??

And in Delhi it was not that good either! the Sun never shone because of dust pollution and what not. It was like 'moonlight in the day time, every day. and so much more of other bad things which one does not find in modern cities and refined societies.

The non reliable services in Goa did restrict me but did not prevent me from meeting all those I had to and from doing whatever I wished; I stayed in an all tourist area and mingled with Foreign and Indian tourists. They all like staying in Goa, even the deshi modern tourists.Yes I enjoyed the cuisine. I could have real fresh veges as well as all the meat variety that I would like. And I travelled by bus ,of course. and I was comfortable on the inter city sectors, thanks to Kadamba service; and most uncomfortable where ever the 'private' buses operate. I even hired a car and drove myself around. I also went to the nite club in Anjuna and I was the 'youngest' reveller over there!! Yes of course, I enjoyed the warmth and hospitality from all my friends who used to enjoy my hospitality whilst I lived there. If u must know, I was a big entertainer whilst I lived there, barbeque parties galore; and was also entertained in return. I was doing well, was prosperous. Why did I leave Goa? because of Hindutva and its effects on normal life. Anything more u would want to know?

The cusine was very good wherever I went; Unlike in Rajastan and Agra and Delhi where Green salad is not green at all; hardly any green veges are served! and only goat meat! and chicken. Thanks to Hindutva!

Good decision, Nascimento. It takes a positive
outlook to live in Goa or to participate in making Goa
a better place, or the ability to look beyond the
"utter failure" and "non-availability" of "essential
services" like uninterrupted power, water supply and
"decent" transport.
