I vividly remember Rom Tony joining the trio on the stage dressed as a Hindu - with "puddvem," shirt and a “topi” on his head. Rem sometimes dressed as a girl and wore Ray Ban glasses. After Rem separated, ROM-ROD-FELCY trio was formed and it too became very famous, especially for their double meaning songs. Rom Tony will always be remembered as one of the gutsy Goans who composed and sang songs on politics. May his soul rest in peace. Our heartfelt condolences to his family.

Thank you Bab Veronica for the article on Rom tony.

I remember one of them imitating Bandodkar wearing white
suit and black glasses.

Besides political, Rom-Rem-Rod trio was very famous for
taptam (Slaps).. they used to slap each other in the song sequence.

Recently I heard one song of Jr. Rod where in he mentioned
your name in the song for fighting for Konkani....I cant recollect
the name of the album...but the song was on Konkani fighters.

My condolences to the family of Rom tony.

Sad death of Tiatrist Rom Tony.

It was sad to know that Rom Tony one of the yesteryears tiatrists has died
on 4th of this month. He was one of the pillars of Konkani stage and
along
with other two members of his trio that is Rem & Rod he created havoc for
the late Dayananda Bandodkar, his MGP and Marathi impositionists on Goa.
No
doubt while singing his voice was not very powerful but his compositions
were really powerful. His trio was one of the responsibles for creating
an
awakening in Goa in support of Konkani, separate statehood for Goa and
