When President Bush spouts "freedom and democracy" every time he gets a
chance to do so, he surely and entirely ignores the fact that the USA was
built on the genocide of the indigenous people of North America. Their
numbers were not worthy of official record then just as the huge numbers
killed in Iraq since the mainly USA/UK led illegal misadventure in Iraq.
Did those murdered North American people, through the use of smallpox, war,
and other exterminatory practices have any freedom and democracy? Just
asking really because I can't help thinking that Bush is an absolute joke
when he wants to impose his Americanised version of freedom and democracy.
His concept of 'freedom and democracy' definitely does not tally with the
large numbers of wars the USA has initiated, many in its sole interests
since and before its formal establishment around 230 years ago through the
illegal use of 'regime change' as a policy.
I don't intend to pursue the point I make in this post except to draw
readers' attention to the fact of American genocide of indigenous peoples
which seems to have been overlooked in the hypocritical Bush argument over
Saddam and Iraq.
