I think Mario is right! Adrian is a Mangalorean! http://mangalorean.com/circle/browsearticles.php?arttype=star&profileid=5
I recollect his heroics at the Athens Olympiad in 2004. The other big Mumbai-based name in the Indian team is Viren Rasquinha. Thanks to Eustaquio who regularly reminds me/us when infamous hockey tourneys - Azlan, Champions, W.Cup, etc or a series are held..... Incidentally, the Canadian hockey team is comprised of many players from India. Robin D'Abreo, born in Mumbai, is presently the most capped player for Team Canada that last qualified for an Olympiad at Sydney 2000. In the last 5 or so years there appears to be a "plan" in place at the grassroots level, here in Canada, as we now see high school tournaments for field hockey. India haven't seen any major glory since the days of Zafar Iqbal, Mervyn Fernandes, Surinder Sodhi and gang during the boycott-plagued Moscow Olympiad.
