I suspect Hermans post of Goanets guidelines is in response to Joe Vaz personal attacks on me (Rip Van Winkle) and his pejorative and derogatory use of the term ethics enforcer. I have never met Joe Vaz and I am not sure why he continues to misrepresent and falsifies my views or makes personal attacks against me. In a post in April, I wrote Pope Benedict XVI Ratzinger was an exact clone of JPII (theologically speaking). I added a smiley at the end to show humor. This is why I do not respond to his insinuations, invective, and scurrilous comments. However, please do not interpret my silence as agreeing with his posts. Far from it. I have even written nice things about the Vatican which people like him choose to ignore. In 2000, I wrote the Vatican is overall fine. I am not going to stop speaking out against issues to appease the right-wing fundamentalists. They ignore or overlook real problems like the lack of saints and Popes from outside Europe.
