It is nice to know that many of us are promoting ring tones of Goan favorite
songs.
Speaking of Lornas song, All India Radio, Panaji, may be broadcasting the
song on Kandllam Onvllam program once in a while, but I hear almost all of
Lornas oldies and several other Konkani songs, Mando, Dulpod and Dekhnni
round the clock on http://www.goa-world.com/goa/music/ via 'Live365'. All
these years, I would reserve Friday to listen to Konkani songs from
cassettes and CDs but now I have a choice - I can either play Konkani song
cassettes/CDs or listen to Konkani songs on
http://www.goa-world.com/goa/music/. I listen to this Konkani International
Music Station Online at work as well as in my apartment. I disconnect
Internet only when I go to sleep. I still play my favorite Konkani song
cassettes/CDs whenever I feel like.

Their pioneering efforts have not gone in vain! Goans enjoy the Konkani
music. I remember the famous lyrics of late Alfred Rose - "Konkani mhunn
khuznant dovorchi nhoi, tika salant haddun mand dhivunk zai." (We should
not keep Konkani in the kitchen, but get it in the living room with
respect.) I hope and pray, the Goa government soon comes up with a 24-hour
Konkani Radio Station, and a T.V. broadcast too! After all, Konkani is our
beloved mother tongue!
Long live Goa and Konkani language!
