Cecil - your posts often make me laugh but this one send me into nostalgia.
Until I was in college, my sister and I made the long trek of some 5 buses,
two ferries and a taxi ride every summer from my beloved village of Verna to
my grandparents' home in Quitula, Aldona. Excitement was at its peak by the
time we reached Moira and we couldnt contain ourselves at the bus stop
while we waited for the taxi that would take us to Quitula. On seeing the
grand old home of my grandparents which I am glad you have included in your
tour, we had almost jumped out of the moving car! But I wasn't limited to
only Quitula - I have explored every bit of your lovely village because my
aunt, a teacher (and whose name brewed so much controversy and attack on
this forum - as usual!) was on election duty and tasked us with checking
every house and every member. We spent the entire summer doing that! And
finally I even had a stint in the St. Thomas Girls high School (Std 7th) and
I would love to know where many of my classmates are now! Especially a June
Lobo from Cotarbath but now in the UK. I could have my own tours you know!
