Mopa Replacement Airport. Goa must move forward.
I do not understand how technically speaking the Dabolim Airport can be upgraded. It far behond any aspect in the modern concept of international airports in South East Asia. Its location is close to the residential areas of the city, and its infrastructure outdated and very modest to the requirements of International Airlines. I feel the communication between the Government departments and the public is poor and the government should arrange meetings in the different cities and villages to consult and advice the public in the pros and cons of this new venture. We are a democratic country and the decision has to be based on public consensus. I would suggest that our learned ministers and planners visit different airports in South East Asia to familiarise on the issue and they will be better informed to advice their constituents.
