*ABC Benaulim Emirates ICA and AVC Clipsal in 1: 1
draw.
*Aldona hold St. Estevam to a draw
DUBAI The match between Aldona United and St.
Estevam Parma Foodstuff ended at a 1-1 draw in the
second All Goa Intervillage Tournament 2005, organised
by All Star Entertainment and United Goans at the
Iranian Football stadium here on Monday.
The second match between ABC Benaulim Emirates ICA and
AVC Clipsal also ended in a 1: 1 draw.
Although St. Estevam dominated most part of the first
match, they failed to find the winning goal. Felix,
Januario and Paul made some good moves, but Aldonas
keeper thwarted their attempts.
Roland Coutinho scored from a penalty to put Aldona
Utd ahead in the 10th minute of the second half of the
game. David Cardozo, who found the equaliser for St.
Estevam, has been presented the Man of the Match award
by Gilroy Fernandes, SFX Old Goa team manager.
In the second match of the day, Benny, Roy Das and
Urbano put up good display of skills for ABC Benaulim
Emirates ICA but their efforts were foiled by the
strong defence of AVC Clipsal.
Socorro and Reynolds hard work paid off when Jonathan
scored from a cross from Reynold to put AVC Clipsal
ahead in the 10th minute of the game.
But the spirited ABC Benaulim kept up the pressure
through Benny Silveira and Urban Borges as Roy Das
scored for ABC Benaulim to level the score 1-1 in the
18th minute of the game.
Roy Das of ABC Benaulim was judged man of the match
and Benny DCosta of Chinhinim team and a former
Mahendra & Orkay player gave away the trophy.
