NT Staff Reporter Panaji Oct 13: The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh's visit to Goa on October 15 has been cancelled. The official spokesman confirming this said the communication to this effect has been received from the Prime Minister's Office. This is the second time Dr Singh's Goa visit has been cancelled. The state government had invited the Prime Minister on August 15 to lay foundation stone for the proposed convention centre at Dona Paula. Meanwhile, the President of India, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam's visit Goa on October 18 to inaugurate a conference of chief executive officers of private sector scheduled at a five-star hotel in South Goa. -- Cheers, Gabe Menezes.
