International conference on environment in Goa from Oct 22

 Over 500 corporate houses, public sector undertakings, government
bodies and NGOs are expected to take part in the sixth annual Greentech
International Conference on Environment and Management, and a parellel
exhibition to be organised at Cidade De Goa, Dona Paula here from
October 22 to 24.

The event is being organised by Greentech Foundation, a Delhi- based
NGO, in association with Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment,
Malaysia, National Insititute of Occupational Safety and Health,
Malaysia and Singapore Environment Institute.

Kamleshwar Sharan, President of Greentech Foundation, today said leading
corporates like BPCL, HPCL, Tata Power, Tata Sponge Iron, NTPC, Reliance
Energy, Aditya Birla Group and Hindalco are expected to participate in
the three-day event.

He said Ashok Pandit, Managing Director of Tata Sponge Iron Ltd and C P
Jain, CMD of NTCP Ltd, will be awarded lifetime achivement awards for
their contribution towards environment protection.

Greentech Foundation is a non-profit organisation established to promote
education, training, research and practical aspects of safety and
environment protection.
