St. Xavier's College, Mapusa, participated in 'National Arthashastra 2005-06' a National Intercollegiate Commerce Fest at Hyderabad. The event was organized by St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad, and COFEE (Commerce Organisation For Emerging Entrepreneurs). National Arthashastra consisted of seventeen competitions testing the creativity, intelligence and innovativeness of the students. The whole programme was spread across two days with over a hundred colleges participating. St. Xavier's College, was represented by Vijayashree Palekar, Roxanna Pinto, Brenton Cordeiro and Jonathan D'Souza. Brenton Cordeiro secured the first place in "On The Spot" Elocution Contest and the second place in the "Creative Resume Making Competition".
