RESPONSE: Hello George, Kenya was such a multi cultural place when I was growning up. As youngsters we mixed freely with one and all. In fact although the elders of our society had class reservations and inhibitions, we youngsters had no such inhibitions! In the old days the Coastal regions of Kenya were robbery free and stress free places, unlike Nairobi and the uplands where security was a problem. I believe the situation now in Kenya as gone from bad to worse. Coming back to your question, I believe a greeting given is usually returned in same spirit. May your God too be with you! -- Peace be with you! Gabe Menezes. London, England
