Sky policy charts new course for regional players

NEW DELHI: After far-reaching reform measures over the past couple of
years, the Civil Aviation Ministry is finally going to provide a policy
backdrop to the whole reform initiative and is all set to dish out major
incentives for the mushrooming of regional airlines in the country.

The Civil Aviation Policy, which will be brought before the Cabinet in a
week's time, caters for waiving off landing and parking fees for those
airlines using one metro airport as their hub to operate to smaller
cities on turboprop aircraft.
