Indian Games team official to face court

A masseur with the Indian Commonwealth Games team will
appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with
indecently assaulting a teenage girl at the Games
village.
The 35-year-old was charged on Tuesday with unlawful
assault and indecent assault over the alleged incident
on Monday morning.
Police allege he assaulted a 16-year-old cleaner in
his room at the Games village in inner suburban
Parkville.
Police Chief Commissioner Christine Nixon said the
man's passport had been confiscated.
The man, who does not speak English, was suspended
from team duties but stayed in the Games village, an
Indian team spokesman said.
