George, Thanks for sharing your moderate views in this matter. Remember Goa is not in America or the EU for that matter.
Sure, the wheels of justice may not move at the same speed as the public's anger and that may be good for civilized society. But these uncivilized, murderer Bhayyas from UP, Bihar etc. who commit such heinous murders and crimes in our peaceful Goa should be made an example of and subject to the ancient Judeo-Biblical-Islamic method of execution to serve as a strong deterrent and as an expression of zero tolerance for criminal uncivilized behaviour. Only such measures will ensure that Goa will not become another dacoit infested state like Bihar, UP, Bengal, etc. Need to think out of the box to save our beloved Goa - not to spend taxpayer money and resources to save and prolong the lives of dacoit, cold-blooded murderers like Amit Shukla and Manish Dubhey. Maybe their organs should be harvested for transplants (as is done in China). It makes economic sense too - besides serving as a strong deterrent. If there was a hint of doubt that these guys have not committed the crime, then the wheels of law and justice may be necessary to establish guilt - in this case there appears to be no doubt about the perpetrators Best Regards, Carmo
