when one is trying to determine the "statistical significance" of the
difference between two items of data(in this case Females looking for Groom
v Males looking for Brides), it is best to perform Chi Square calculations.
Doubt IF there is any room here to use 'Coefficient of Correlation'.
I will certainly do the calculations for you or anybody else IF provided
with the following data
1. Total Number of Males available (eligible)
2. Total Number of Males Looking for Brides
3. Total Number of Females available(eligible)
4. Total Number of Females Looking for Grooms
In the interim .... you may also wish to add another two categories
5. Total Number of Males Looking for Males
6. Total Number of Females Looking for Females
No aspersions....only being quite open about related data.
