In response to Olavo Menezes <Any intelligent man, especially a Moidekar who is
super intelligent, would know that a ceramic unit uses only wooden molds, clay
and glazing powder as raw materials. The finished product is then baked in a
gas-fired oven. So where is the scope for ANY TYPE of pollution? The other
materials used are wooden frames & stands.>

JC wrote the following : " Not being a Moidecar & definitely not being
intelligent, I did NOT know that there isn't any scope for ANY TYPE (Indoor or
Outdoor) of pollution with reference to a Ceramic Unit."

Inter alia, Olavo responded with the following: < If you want to split hairs,
Jose, breaking wind is considered as pollution - as long as somebody else is
doing it!>

Dear Olavo,

Forgive me for ignoring the "gracious" comments you placed in your response.
Gratuitiy, in my opinion, does not belong in serious comment.

It is my belief that Air Pollution is indeed serious enough to sit up and take
notice. You may or may not, but I do.

It matters little WHO does it. What matters is IF it is or is not possible or
present.

Your "breaking wind" comment notwithstanding, I still wish to register my
non-knowledge of the fact that "there isn't ANY scope for ANY TYPE (Indoor or
Outdoor) of pollution with reference to a Ceramic Unit"

I am sure that you (Olavo) will now tell us of a method of "glazing" ceramics
without producing ANY lead (Pb) atmospheric pollution.

It is one thing to say that the atmospheric Pb levels were within normal levels
in / around the Ceramic factory in question; It is quite another to say that
"there isn't ANY scope for ANY TYPE of pollution with reference to a Ceramic
Unit."

That, my dear Olavo, ends my knowledge on the subject of Lead Pollution (and
poisoning in kids) and Ceramic factories. You may have the last word on this.

Trust me when I say this: It is easier to sit on the fence and say nothing. If
one raises a legitimate query, we Goans are quite happy to be "gracious" in our
dealing with the messenger, instead of looking at the message.

Have a good day

sincerely

jc
