When Bank of India was operating from the old premises in Porvorim, there were several attempts of robbery.
After one such attempt, the sniffer dogs were brought in. I noticed that the dog was pulling the 'master' in one direction, but the 'master' was pulling the dog back. I do not know if the 'master' was a person of the police force or a dog trainer. But from my observation, I concluded that the 'master' did not want to run after the dog. In another incident, the sniffer dog went upto the Pilerne Cemetry, but I doubt there was any follow up on that. Perhaps a vigil in the area over the next few days, may have helped in nabbing the culprit. In yet another incident there was a glaring footprint that showed a deformity in the foot. This footprint was near the ventilator on the wall, but unfortunately, (or should I say convenienty), the footprint was ignored.
