Special Kuwait Cell (SKC) has a NOTIFIED IN November 2005 a list of 8,615 UNTRACED CLAIMANTS to whom the United Nations Compensation Commission, Geneva, (UNCC) had approved payment of compensation being victims of the Gulf War 1990-91. The names are awailable on the website http://meaindia.nic.in or one could write to Shri A.K. PANDYA, Director, Special Kuwait Cell, Ministry of External Affairs, IInd Floor, ISIL Building, 9 Bhagwandas Road, New Delhi-110001, mentioning their present address and enclosing photocopy of the first four pages of their passport. The envelope and the letter should bear the notation “UNTRACED CLAIMANTS”. Such claims should be made on or before the deadline 30th September 2006. We at SGPIAG would also appreciate if the NRI Goans browse thro the website and incase they come across claimants who they are aware of they could bring it to our notice so that we in Goa would intimate them OR alternatively if one provides the Number of the Passport we would trace the passport numbers on the website and provide them names.
