Today I pointed out danger to a citizen parking his car at the road
junction.He refused to move saying Im just coming in 5 minutes.Another
parked at the entrance of a store, another at the busy road side obstructing
traffic without the least concern..The Police still religiously check for
helmets and where there is money to be made. A wrongly placed Bus stop is
demolished, before a new one is installed. Reminders have no effect.Result,
people stand exposed in the rain at the same place, and Buses too stop there
as of old. Signboards are put up and no one enforces or follows.E mail
letters to the authorities are not received or remain unacknowleged or
unactioned.There is no governance. Big dreams and plans are more important
like IT parks, Convention Centre, Cannes and foreign jaunts. There is no
money for a football stadium and so on. With the citizen selfish and
indisciplined,bureaucrats and government officials are happy to keep things
as they are. With no transparency or anyone being held accountable, the
road carnage will only get worse.It requires The Supreme Court to question
Quotas/Reservations and end the Doctors strike. The Executive is drunk with
power and priveleges, because rule of Law, with impunity, they can easily
subvert.
