As someone who is keenly aware of the founding role Goa Sudharop played in
World Goa Day, I will
write later how some celebrations are not consistent with the original mission
of WGD and have
failed to deliver. Some constructive suggestions might get WGD back on track.
This is not meant to
criticize Oscar's hard work and the hard work of others but it will be useful
to revisit Filomena
Giese's idea of WGD.

Goans in Melbourne will be celebrating the now regular Annual World Goa Day
event with their family and friends on Saturday the 30th of September 2006. In
order to accommodate the larger numbers attending this year, the event will be
held at the Kingston City Hall, Moorabbin.
