Your words will be lost on most American as executions
are part of the American way of life. George Bush got
elected partly because he sent a record number of
prisoners to the electric chair in Texas.
Once, while still in college in the south, I heard on
the radio that the police were responding to a
domestic situation not far from where I was living. A
man had gotten drunk and was using a shot gun to hold
his wife and kids hostage. On my way home I saw about
300 cars parked outside the house with the problem.
Two hot dog vendors had already set up their carts and
the crowd was shouting, "Shoot the bitch."
The USA, China and S. Arabia are the world leaders in
public executions. The USA leads the world with the
largest percentage of citizens in jail.
I keep telling prospective immigrants in Goa to keep
this in mind when choosing which country to migrate to
as some may be moving from a civilized country to a
barbaric one.
