DUBAI: CAC Cansaulim trounced SFX Old Goa 4-1 in the
opening match of 11-a-side All Goa Inter-Village
Invitation Soccer tournament at the Iranian Sports
Stadium on Tuesday. The tournament is organised by All
Star Entertainment in association with United Goans.
John scored for SFX in the 12th minute. Jonathan
D'Souza reduce the margin for Cansaulim through
penalty. In the dying minute of the 1st half Simon
Andrade dogged entire SFX defenders to score. CAC were
leading 2-1 in the 1st half.
In the second half Travolta Moraes made it 3-1 in
favour of CAC with powerful drive & Sydney Pereira
scored to make it 4-1.
Cruz Dias played well for Cansaulim & was adjudged the
man-of-the-match.
In the second match of the evening, Vanxim Divar
struck once in each half to chalk out a comfortable
2-0 win over Fr. Agnel Pillar (EKFC).
Randell Pereira gave Vanxim Divar the lead in the 12th
minute of play while Russell Rodrigues' sealed the
fate of the match with another goal in the 15th minute
of the second-half.
George Baretto of Fr. Agnel was later declared the
man-of-the match.
