This question presumes that Goa has *a* traditional dress. My view is that Goa, as a melting pot, would have many different forms of traditional cothes, each held as relevant by different sections of the population. Off-list, I shared with Cecil the fact that some students of the National Institute of Fashion Technology had done a study on clothes and costumes of Goa. They were kind enough to share a copy with me. But it has taken me longer than expected to located it among my tropical-forest-unfriendly book collection and cluttered table.
