The Pope is expected to shortly announce that the Latin mass may be
celebrated again (news story in today's Toronto Star, front inside
page). Ostensibly this is to heal the schism created by Vatican II and
an attempt to woo back the Ultraconservative Catholics. However on
reading this article I think corrupt Goan politicians must have
persuaded the Pope to divert these Goan priests from their good
political intentions by making them learn the Latin they must have
forgotten since 1962.

After the Islam gaffe and now this, what he think of next?

Roland.
