and so was relevant to GoaNet. I won't be surprised if my response is

These quotations extol the virtues of using the Bible to guide our lives in
an age when much that was considered virtuous 2000 years ago is no longer
so. Picking and choosing which areas of biblical teachings are applicable
to our society is worse than stepping into a Cambodian minefield.
However, this last quote is telling of how Christianity (and religions in
general) are able to propagate their memes.... "Family is a domestic
Church and the Church is a communion of families where the seed of Faith is
first put and nourished in the infancy. Unless this is done in a systematic
way, the next generation will be lost,"
