< The process ofmaking (and unmaking) news and priorities in Goa is a very
strange process. There's often no madness to the method; at least one which
the average citizen can't understand. We'll need to wait till election-time
when Goa's political (and boardroom) masters bare their fangs to show their
diverse interests on what should have been an issue of taking a decision in
Goa's long-term interest. But isn't.> [FN]

I am not sure if you are saying that the workings of the government (and
media) are mysterious or not mysterious! Never mind. But I have, indeed,
heard it said that potholes never get fixed until election comes around. And
people vote those guys back into power when they should be thrown out for
procrastination and dereliction of duty!

Airports are in a different class altogether. But everything only gets
magnified manifold. In this situation, the personal implication is that one
should make a worthwhile effort to ensure that the 'information base'
available to the public is generally sound. This is so that people dont get
carried away by propaganda and persistent misinformation.

Its an uphill battle. And a long one. But airports represent the apex of a
state's interests. Almost everything else flows from it. So somebody has to
keep plugging away, right? Cheers.
